Solar powered rechargeable camping lanterns and flashlights are a good idea to have as well as a pocket micro water filter, digital compass, binoculars, rain jackets, luxury sleeping gear, headlamps for night time exploring, different knives, a medical kit, a whistle in case one gets lost, and cookware. If you decide you want to add to a camper’s equipment the best thing to do is to ask for a check list to see what is still missing or needed. What the camper(s) may need depends on whether a marine, arctic, desert or jungle environment is preferred or what time of year the trip will take place.
